Hi my name is Bernadette Dancy and I am a Health and Exercise Coach specialising in nutrition, exercise and other lifestyle interventions for people suffering with stress overwhelm and butnout.
Stress is a complex problem often suffered by people who spend their lives striving and working so hard for their family, career and/or sport, that they find themselves exhausted, burnt-out and struggling with their health.
As a mother of two energetic boys and business owner I understand what it is like to balance health and family life. As such my passion is to help other people do the same.
With over 15 years’ experience as a Senior Lecturer in Health and Exercise Science, a PhD in Sport Psychology, a Master’s degree in Preventive Cardiology and professional qualifications in Personal Training and Exercise Referral, I would say I am very equipped to help people make changes to their physical AND mental health that are LONG LASTING.
Whether working one-to-one with clients or in a workshop setting, my approach is underpinned by scientific research as well as theories in health and exercise psychology.
My philosophy is to educate and empower people towards improved physical and mental health using small significant changes that won’t overwhelm but fit seamlessly into their busy lives.
When I’m not coaching others, I enjoy running long slow distances. With two Ultra Marathons and several marathons in the bag I understands the benefits of exercise first hand and is passionate about helping others capitalise on the use of nutrition and exercise as medicine.
